Edilyn Lazo

about me!
Hi! Thanks for checking out my portfolio! My name is Edilyn, and I'm a wildlife conservation and film/digital media student at UC Davis, enthusiastic and passionate for showcasing the natural world's awe-inspiring beauty and advocating for its protection.
With a proven track record of leadership, I have actively participated in field research and gained valuable experience managing wildlife. For my latest project, I am producing a documentary about the Eadie Laboratory's Wood Duck Project at UC Davis, its 30 years' worth of valuable data, and the impact it has created on the lives of Wood Ducks and students alike.

As an avid storyteller with scientific and artistic skills, I'm thrilled to leave my mark in the environmental field by spreading awareness and promoting hands-on exploration in conservation. I can't wait to inspire others to appreciate and protect the wonders of our planet!

My Work!
I shoot my photos with a Canon 2000D & 75-300mm lens and use Adobe Photoshop to edit. I love all wildlife but a lot of my photography revolves around birds - I always bring my camera on bird walks!
I love creating art with pretty much any medium - ranging from colored pencils, acrylic, and even digital media. Illustrating helps with learning animal anatomy & life history.
I have experience with all aspects of the film production process - from pre-production to shooting, and post-production editing. I am extremely excited to become more involved in the world of filmmaking & media creation.
Here you'll find graphic design work I've created for my clubs, as well as my internship for the Museum of Wildlife & Fish Biology. I enjoy creating content that educates and engages with users online.
